We’re not an outdoors brand. You’re not going to find any new-fangled hybrid gear where you can hit a quick 18 in the morning and quickly go to you favorite fly-fishing spot afterwards. That’s not Trout.

Trout was our nickname for Markie. He hated fishing.

“Grounded” is an homage to Mark. Working his way through the ranks, he had his first Superintendent position all but locked up before January of 2025, when we unexpectedly lost him. He forgot more about the ground that we take for granted every time we hit the links than many of us will ever know.

Mark was truly one of a kind. A much loved son and brother, refreshingly authentic and loyal friend, he was an inspiration to all whose lives he touched. During his all too brief time here on Earth, he demonstrated the courage, integrity and kind heart that are the true measure of a man. He was unfailingly honest and authentic, acutely self aware without any need to portray himself otherwise. Add to that his irrepressible sense of humor and innate insight to human nature, and one was assured that time spent time with Mark was always an entertaining and memorable occasion.

He embodied what we believe golf should be. Honest and Authentic. A gentleman’s (and ladies!) game. 4+ hours of creating memories with those you love.

Golf is expensive enough. Spend your money on lessons, not gear. We aim to create the highest performing gear for the value. Gear you can wear to the sports bar after the round without everyone and their mom able to spot you from a mile away.
