The Mark T Grotewohl Memorial Scholarship Fund provides an annual continuing education scholarship to those committed to making a career choice in the field of agronomy (or, as Mark liked to say- “glorified gardeners”)

By providing scholarships to those pursuing careers in golf course maintenance, the foundation serves to continue Mark’s legacy of reciprocating the encouragement and assistance he was afforded. Mark was taught, and firmly believed, that showing up with a willingness to work was a large part of success. Throughout his career- working up from a cart barn attendant, to groundscrew member, ultimately to an Assistant Superintendent at some of the premier golf courses in the country- he always recognized those that showed the same interest and willingness to work that he did.

Tax deductible contributions to the MTG Memorial Scholarship Fund make that possible. In fact, it is only through generous gifts from those in industry and friends who believe in its purpose that the foundation can continue its efforts to ensure the future of agronomy, and Mark’s legacy, are not forgotten.
